Exchanging money involves quite a bit of math skills. Say for example, you exchange US Dollars to the Colombian Peso, or to Euros. Not only do you have to do the conversion, but you have to start thinking in that currency. Personally, this is a really interesting topic of discussion in my house. The Venezuelan Bolivar has several different exchange rates. There is an exchange rate for medical supplies, another for commercial businesses, and the most accessible to everyone- the black market exchange rate. We always have to consider which rate we are using when converting to dollars.
